In the heart of the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, you'll find a museum located in an 18th-century building constructed upon the ruins of a Roman temple where art, tradition and flamenco come together. This is Seville's Flamenco Dance Museum, founded by the dancer Cristina Hoyos, which takes us on a journey through the roots of flamenco and its evolution.

Its interactive rooms display the costumes of legendary dancers, instruments and works of art from different disciplines and from all over the world. In one of its spaces, you'll also find a screen that'll immerse you in the fiery movements of a flamenco routine.

You'll also want to visit the basement, which is one of the most unique parts of the museum. This place consists of a vault that preserves the remains of an ancient Roman temple, where the flamenco shows and events organised by the centre take place.
